About the exercise

Single leg deadlift is an excellent hamstrings exercise to add to your workout routine as it will not only engage your hamstrings but also a lot of your hip stabilizer muscles and core muscles, thus burning more calories. It is also a very functional exercise, it is one of the best and safest ways to pick small items off the floor- think golfers using this motion to pick up golf balls. Exercise instructions

  1. 8 repetitions each side, 15-20 seconds rest.

  2. Use your arms to balance yourself.

  3. Keep your back and the leg that is in the air in one straight line.
