About the exercise
This abs crunch exercise variation is great for minimizing low back injuries as it avoids feet anchoring. Feet anchoring should be avoided with any abs exercise because it engages hip flexors, which end up pulling on lumbar vertebra and thus potentially causing injuries. This exercise will also help burn more calories as you keep your lower legs elevated. This and many other exercises are part of our free workout routine.
Exercise instructions
15 repetitions, 15-20 seconds rest.
Keep lower legs parallel to the floor.
